How does a platform mentor, inspire, and create community?

(read below to find out)

The New River Valley of Southwest Virginia is home to over 90 tech companies in the software development, cybersecurity, IT support, digital creative, and other sectors in the Information Technology industry. These companies employ over 1,500 people, making technology one of the largest industries in the area. With its large population, the New River Developers Community connects developers and product designers through its website and sponsored events like workshops and the annual hack-a-thon. These avenues promote collaboration, brainstorming, and sharing of like-minded interests.

The logo mark depicts the Blue Ridge Mountains, resting on the New River, with its reflection through common developer characters (< ~ >). Color was used to reinforce this concept.

The purpose of the NRVDEV’s website is to connect local product designers and developers through customized groups and ongoing events and workshops. Each user’s profile includes their name, title, location, brief bio, and tags that list their design/programming experiences.

Stickers were created to to promote the organization and its website.
