Initiated by GoPuff founders Rafael Ilishayev and Yakir Gola, Put Me On is an online platform to develop and nurture a community of entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities by growing their businesses on the GoPuff platform. Twice a year, GoPuff brings together a class of diverse entrepreneurs to participate in a three-step process that includes vetting applications, connecting accepted businesses/products with established brand ambassadors, then promoting them using GoPuff’s team of marketing genius. This six-month process provides networking events, monthly workshops, and 1:1 building sessions before being added to GoPuff’s inventory.

The website was designed to both promote Put Me On and start the application and vetting process.

Working directly with GoPuff’s partners, Joba Studios and I were tasked with creating an online platform that fits within the GoPuff brand but felt interactive and highlighted the program’s accepted brands. More features of the website needed to include a “living” homepage, a thorough process, and an engaging application form.

The logo wordmark and call-to-action graphics were inspired by 1950’s grocery store signage that is bold and sheared. This approach was also applied to the website’s headings and interactive sections. We staged and photographed different items created by underrepresented entrepreneurs and worked with a developer to develop a custom CMS that would substitute content on a set schedule.

In September 2021, Put Me On was featured on the front page of USA Today’s Sports page.
