how do you incentivize daily fitness?

(read below to find out)

FitHub was a universal fitness-tracking Android app gathering activity from devices such as Fitbit, Misfit, and Garmin (to name a few). The app leverages its user’s daily gamification so they can achieve their fitness goals by completing daily tasks, earning medals, competing head-to-head against direct competitors, and seeing where their activity stands on the national level (leaderboard). The app was initially released in 2014 as part of Oklahoma State University’s App Center’s fitness competition. Later in 2015 and 2016, our team revised and built the second version of the app that went on to receive over 56,000 downloads and receive a Google Developer’s Gold Medal in the Fitness genre.

The two F’s in the logo mark represent the various mobile devices connecting to the hub (“H” represents the app).

The four main pages (seen here) are for the user to view their daily activity (right), weekly activity (top), where they stand in comparison to their opponent (bottom-right), and where they stand on the leaderboard (left).

Medals were awarded to participates upon completing given challenges.
