Clark Construction is one of the largest commercial and civil contractors in the country and has several large subsidiary companies under its umbrella, including Carta Advisors and their Strategic Partnership Program. Clark Construction is headquartered in Bethesda, MD, and is one of the largest commercial and civil contractors in the country generating over $6 billion in 2021. Notable projects in Clark Construction’s portfolio include Nationals Park, FedEx Field, Capital One Arena, and Oriole Park at Camden Yards (to name a few). Between 2020-2021, Joba Studio and I partnered with Clark Construction to create the identities for their subsidiaries including its principal group (1906 Group), an advisory group that works between Clark Construction and its clients (Carta Advisors), and a partnership program that helps to develop individuals wanting to get into the commercial and civil contractor spaces (Strategic Partnership Program) to name a few.
Carta is a subsidiary of Clark Construction that consists of a team of advisors that acts as the “middle man” between the client and Clark Construction. The designed logo for Clark is a “C” cut into thirds and represents the three stakeholders in the venture process.
A website was created to bring awareness to the Carta Advisory group.
Clark’s Strategic Partnership Program is a subsidiary of Clark Construction that provides leadership and entrepreneurship workshops to individuals wanting to get into the construction business. The logo design created for the Strategic Partnership Program symbolizes the collaboration between Clark Construction (blue) and its clients and fellows (green).
A promotional booklet was created to recruit participants to Clark Construction’s Strategic Partnership Program. The booklet includes bright geometric forms that build off their newly designed logo.
The 1906 Group is a group of principals, advisors, and partners overseeing Clark Construction. Above is the company’s existing logo not designed by the Joba Studio creative team.
The website was created to showcase the 1906 Group’s investments and portfolio in a minimalist way that would allow for the photography to come forward.
